MagicCon: Las Vegas - Know Before You Go!

The Magic event of the season is almost here, and guests and attendees the world over are finalizing their MagicCon: Las Vegas plans. With that in mind, we wanted to pass on some helpful information and ideas as you prepare for your trip through the MagicCon multiverse!

The “Info” tab on the MagicCon Vegas website is a great place to start if you have unanswered questions about the MagicCon: Las Vegas experience.

It includes information about ADA Accessibility Services, the MagicCon Code of Conduct, a helpful FAQ, the latest MagicCon news, and more.

MagicCon: Las Vegas will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, East Entrance. The address is 3150 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.

Parking is limited at the convention center, but there are both public transportation and ride sharing options. Click here for information on the Vegas Loop, the Las Vegas Monorail, taxi, rental car, and ride share information.

Check out the convention center maps here for available parking options. The Platinum Lot is the closest lot to the MagicCon entrance.

A MagicCon badge is required for entry to all events at MagicCon. If you are an international attendee or purchased a badge after 8/26/24, your badge will be available for pick up onsite at Registration/Will Call in the lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, East Entrance. You will need your QR code confirmation email and a photo ID to receive your badge.

• Thursday, October 24:  12:00 – 6:00 PM
• Friday, October 25:  8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday, October 26:  8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Sunday, October 27:  8:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Once you have your badge in hand, make sure to activate it to take full advantage of all the experiences MagicCon has to offer!

All free items included with your badge purchase may be picked up onsite at Ticketed Merch Pick-Up, located right past the security checkpoint in the main entrance. You can pick up your merchandise anytime between 8:30 AM and 7:00 PM (6:00 PM Sunday). We encourage you to come back later if the line is long, your merchandise is guaranteed.  .

All pre-Order merchandise purchased after 8/26/24 must be picked up at the Show Store on Level 2. Please look for the designated “Pre-Order Merchandise” queue. The Show Store opens daily at 10:00 AM.

Once you have your badge in hand, please proceed to the Morning Queue or one of the limited Free Play tables in this area. MagicCon: Las Vegas is our largest event yet, so please plan accordingly and take advantage of early badge pick up starting at 8:30 AM.

The Show Floor will open at 10:00 AM daily and those in the Morning Queue will be the first to enter. If you have an 11:00 AM ticketed play event, we encourage you to queue up no later than 10:30 AM.

The  MagicCon: Las Vegas Show Store introduces some new products to the lineup! You can get your hands on new stylish wearables, accessories, and exclusives available onsite at MagicCon: Las Vegas!

The fun doesn’t stop when the show floor closes! Las Vegas promises to be even bigger than last year, with TWO separate offsite experiences taking place.

Gather round ghosts and ghouls, for the night of your lives! The first night of MagicCon: Las Vegas kicks off with a Halloween graveyard bash at the House of Blues complete with dancing, drinks and disguises! Come decked in your most basic, extravagant, or terrifying costumes ready to tear up the dance floor to the grave rattling beats of Grumgully!

• When: Friday, October 25th, from 9:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• Where: House of Blues Las Vegas, located in Mandalay Bay, 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd
• Who: 21+ only. ID required upon entry.
• Wristbands: A wristband is required for entry and will be mailed if purchased prior to the mail deadline or can be picked up on site at registration.

• Costumes: Come in your best Halloween Costume! Want to walk on stage with it? Sign up here!

Witness high-fantasy, high-heeled, high-rolling, high-larity as three Drag Queens play Dungeons & Dragons Live! Dungeon Master Comedian Paul Curry and improvisational violinist Carson Grubb will lead our Battle-Queens Miss Ma'amshe, Sherry Poppins, and Little Piece on a brand-new Magic: The Gathering Inspired storytelling adventure, with danger, snark and audience participation around every precarious corner. Experience the adventure or fail your quest- at Dungeons and Drag Queens: MagicCon Edition! 

• When: Saturday, October 26th, from 9:00 PM – 10:30PM. Doors open at 8:30PM.
• Where: Judy Bayley Theatre, located at 4505 S Maryland Parkway
• Who: Venue is all ages, Dungeon and Drag Queens have labeled the show as PG-17. Parental guidance is encouraged.

Witness some of the best Magic players in the world go head-to-head onsite as they compete in Magic World Championship 30. Our competitors are playing for their share of a million-dollar prize pool and the title of Magic World Champion!

This event is the culmination of the 2024 competitive Magic season, and it's not one to miss. Be sure to check out the action as it happens live throughout the weekend!

Come meet and greet personalities you know and love at the Creator Play area while you check out their unique playstyles, formats, and live games! The always exciting Art of Magic is headed to Las Vegas! The Art of Magic is where you can meet some of the talented artists who have created beloved card art during Magic’s lifespan. See the artists who will be joining us at MagicCon: Vegas.

Bring the “Trading” back to your favorite trading card game with the Pin Trading Program! Collect all the exclusive MagicCon: Las Vegas event pins by purchasing pins at the Official Show Store, visiting our official pin trading exhibitors, getting an exclusive in the new Pin Trading area, and by trading with participating staff members and other MagicCon attendees! Can you collect them all?

MagicCon: Las Vegas Level 2 will close daily at 7:00 PM (6:00 PM Sunday), but ticketed play will run until 11:59 PM on Friday and Saturday night on Level 1 only. Please make sure to wrap up all of your purchases and play on Level 2 before we close daily. One Demand Events will be limited after 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday so secure your vouchers and register onsite early.
