Support Extra Life at MagicCon!

One of the best things about Magic: The Gathering and gaming is the community that we’re a part of. Not only are we all passionate about the games we play, but we’re also passionate about making positive change for the next generation of gamers and helping those in need. Extra Life, a fundraising program of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, was created to help unite our communities and provide support of critical treatments, health care services, and more for children and families supported by local member Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Since its inception in 2008, the program has raised more than $120 million, and it is celebrated in an international day of play known as Extra Life Game Day where thousands of gamers, streamers, and content creators around the world participate. It’s also worth noting that Wizards of the Coast and its community have raised $5.6 million and counting through Extra Life since 2013!

At MagicCon: Las Vegas, there are multiple ways to support our charitable partner, Extra Life! They are part of the Pin Trading Program, a Secret Lair Drop, and the Unknown Event hosted by Mark Rosewater. The best part about participating is that all the money generated will go to support the Seattle Children's Autism Center.

These awesome pins, like the one featured above, can be found at the Extra Life booth. Stop by the booth for more details on how you can get your very own Helga, Skittish Seer pin! Also, Extra Life will feature the fan-favorite Dip Jar, so attendees can choose a pin or pull a random Collector Booster from the grab bag.

Another cool thing that we’re doing with Extra Life to support the program is offering a Secret Lair Drop that can be purchased at the MagicCon Official Show Store!

In continuation of our partnership with Extra Life, this side-scrolling, platforming drop features Fblthp braving a lava-filled adventure to battle the big bad boss Nicol Bolas and save the day! With four amazing cards and awesome video-game inspired art, including Fierce Guardianship, this drop is the perfect power-up for your next deck.

Designed by Mike Burns, the Fierce Guardianship, Lightning Bolt, Mana Geyser, and Delayed Blast Fireball are amazing and will be available at MagicCon in non-foil versions! The pixelart really speaks to the Extra Life program and will really stand out on tables and inside collections. Don’t miss out on this set! (Limited to 5 per person. Foil versions of the art can still be purchased at the Secret Lair website)

The other way you can contribute to Extra Life is by participating in the Saturday evening Unknown Event with co-hosts Mark Rosewater and Matt Tabak where the products, formats and rules will totally be anyone’s guess! This event should be a blast, so hurry up and sign up before all the tickets are gone!
